Want to find out how to watch free IPTV/Live TV on Kodi?  If so, keep reading to find out how to get free, super easy-to-use builds that will install a handful of popular IPTV addons for you automatically.

IPTV addons are awesome because they allow you watch TV for free on your computer.  However, there is a significant amount of risk involved in using IPTV software– that’s why we suggest that you consider investing in a VPN service before you try out any of the IPTV addons listed below.

Caution

We highly recommend using a VPN anytime you use Kodi to watch IPTV.  IPTV streamers have been known to receive copyright infringement notices for watching movies, sports, and TV shows through various addons.  If you would like to keep your streaming habits private, our recommendation is IPVanish – a complete privacy solution for Kodi users.

What is IPTV?

IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) allows you to receive TV broadcast signals through your internet connection instead of via a TV antenna, satellite dish or fiber optic cable.

IPTV is the next generation of TV technology.  Experts believe that in the future, traditional cable TV providers like Comcast will be replaced by IPTV providers.

Already, lots of individuals on the internet are giving out free links to IPTV content.  The 3rd party Kodi addons mentioned in this article allow you to easily access those free IPTV feeds that everyone is sharing.

How does IPTV sharing work?

Most IPTV addons for Kodi process various IPTV channels via m3u8 files.  M3u8 files are like telephone books.  The difference is that instead of containing lists of names and telephone numbers, m3u8 files contain lists of links to various people and websites around the web that host free IPTV feeds.

Which IPTV Kodi addons are the best?

Right now, the two most popular IPTV addons for Kodi are:

  • IVUEGuide
  • IVUECreator

The IVUEGuide and IVUECreator addons allow you to pull links to IPTV channels from any Kodi addon that has IPTV content.

The free build that I’m about to link you is called Oxygen H20.  It automatically sets up both IVUEGuide and IVUECreator, plus a ton of additional IPTV Kodi addons including:

  • BAMFTV
  • Fido
  • OblivionStreams
  • Freeview
  • Gobble
  • Goodfellas
  • iPlayerwww
  • iTV
  • Specialiststreams
  • Ukturk
  • and many more

The addons contained in Oxygen H20 are some of the best IPTV addons for Kodi out there right now.  However, none of the links you’ll find via IPTV addons will work 100% of the time.  That’s because they rely on the links contained in their m3u8 for content.  If the person that opened up an IPTV link decides to stop broadcasting, the link will break and everyone who tries to open it will encounter an error.

In the early days of IPTV link sharing, it was very hard to find a working link.  But now, it doesn’t require much work at all to find a working IPTV feed.  Hunting for IPTV links via Oxygen H20 is easy, thanks in large part to the way it integrates the powerful TV guide emulator known as IVUEGuide.

How to install Oxygen H20

  1. Go to archive.org and download the file named plugin.video.Oxygenh20wizard.zip.
  2. Open plugin.video.Oxygenh20wizard.zip from inside of Kodi via system → settings → addons → install from zip file.
  3. Open the Oxygen H20 wizard program via the programs main menu.

How to use Oxygen H20 to find IPTV feeds

After the Oxygen H20 wizard downloads and installs the Oxygen H20 build, Kodi will automatically shutdown and reboot.  The next time you open up Kodi, its main screen will look like this:

The submenu you want to go to if you want to find live IPTV feeds is LiveTV.  Once you click the LiveTV button, you’ll see several different options for finding the TV channel you want to watch.

Probably the easiest way to start watching IPTV immediately with Oxygen H20 is to use IVUEGuide to locate a stream.

To get to IVUEGuide, just click the TV Guide option from the menu on the right.  That’ll take you to a screen that looks like this:

IVUEGuide looks and feels a lot like a normal cable TV guide.  The menu shows you what’s currently on the tube, and the yellow vertical bar corresponds to the current time.  Once you click a show that you want to watch, you’ll likely land on a configuration screen that looks like this:

Once you reach this configuration screen, just pick the addon you want to use to grab the stream.  IVUEGuide will remember which addon you picked and will attempt to use it the next time you open up the channel.

Note: If the addon you choose contains a broken link, IVUEGuide will kick you back to the channel selection screen without showing you an error message.  You may have to try out several different addons before you find one with a working feed.

Another build that has an excellent set of IPTV addons: Mega’s Wookie Build

Oxygen H20 looks great, but in my opinion it falls a little short when it comes to features that appeal to sports fans.

If you’re looking for IPTV sports channels, check out Mega’s Wookie Build.

Here’s a screenshot of one of its best menus:

A screenshot of Mega’s Wookie Build’s Sports Hub menu page

Mega’s Wookie Build’s Sports Hub menu page is awesome because it contains 22 different IPTV addons that were specifically designed for sports fans.

One of the best live TV addons featured here is a new one from Echo Coding calle Find My Game.  Find My Game sifts through every single sports addon that you have for links to whatever game you want to watch.

The main page of Find My Game contains a frequently updated list of upcoming sports games.  When you click a game, Find My Game kicks into gear and starts searching for links.

When I tried out the Pelicans / Cavaliers game, I was able to quickly find a working link to the match.

In addition to Find My Game, the excellent IPTV addon called Pro Sport is also present on Mega’s Wookie Build’s Sports Hub page.

Pro Sport is unique among IPTV addons because it relies on Reddit as a source for IPTV links.  Thousands of IPTV providers list free links to games on Reddit.  Some of them share links to games primarily to make money with popup ads, but others do it just for the fun of helping other sports addicts get their fix.

One of the coolest things about Pro Sport is that it automatically strips annoying pop-up ads out of any feed that it processes.

To look for Reddit NBA links via this awesome addon, all you have to do is open up Pro Sport and click the blue [my subreddits] folder.

After you’re in [my subreddits] all you have to do is enter in the subreddit that you want Pro Sport to process.  For example if you type in nbastreams, you’ll be able to access any IPTV stream that Reddit users post there from inside of Kodi.

There are also 4 preconfigured stream categories to choose from: nba games, nhl games, nfl games, nba games and mlb games.

Here’s what the nba games menu looks like:

Does Mega’s Wookie Build have a TV Guide?

Instead of IVUEGuide, Mega’s Wookie Build relies on an equally powerful TV guide called Echo TV Guide.

Echo Guide looks and feels very similar to IVUEGuide.  The layout is almost identical, but the background image and icons are different.

Like IVUEGuide, you have to setup individual channels yourself the first time you open them up.

If the first addon you try out doesn’t work, keep trying out alternatives until you find an addon that has a working IPTV link.

If you’d rather check out various IPTV addons directly instead of navigating them via Echo Guide, you can flip over to the menu screen called Freeview TV.

Via the Freeview TV submenu, you can quickly access and explore 14 different popular IPTV addons.

How to install Mega’s Wookie Build

The only thing you need to install Mega’s Wookie Build is the Wookie Wizard.  Check out the 3 step guide below to find out where to get it.

  1. Go to https://wookiespmc.com/wiz/ and download the file named Click me – succumb to The Wookie.zip
  2. Open Click me – succumb to The Wookie.zip from inside of Kodi via system → settings → addons → install from zip file.
  3. Now you can browse all of Wookie’s Kodi software by navigating to programs → wookie wizard → community builds → mega’s wookie build
