Which channels carry boxing matches?

If you’re primarily interested in watching live international boxing matches, you need an addon that has UK sports channels.  Sky Sports and BoxNation broadcast all the best WBO (World Boxing Organization) and WBC (World Boxing Council) matches.

On the other hand, if you want to watch American PBC (Premier Boxing Champions) matches, you need access to all four major US broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC) as well as several major US cable sports channels.  ESPN, CBS Sports Network, FS1, and NBCSN, Spike and Bounce TV are all licensed to broadcast PBC matches.

The 6 best boxing addons for Kodi

In my opinion, Pro Sport is the all-around best addon for watching boxing.  If you can’t find the live match you want to see there, check out BoxNation on SportsDevil or one of FilmOn’s 7 boxing channels via Castaway.  Phoenix‘s One Events and Cosmic Sports menus sometimes have boxing feeds as well.

If you miss the match, there’s a chance that the developer of MoneySports has a posted a recording to his archive.  KO Boxing is the only Kodi addon that’s totally dedicated to boxing, but it relies on YouTube for content.  So, all it has is recordings of classic boxing matches.

The #1 best addon for boxing is Pro Sport

Installation guide:

  1. First download the podgod repository zip file to your desktop.
  2. Then install it by going to system → settings → addons → install from zip file → desktop.
  3. Finally, go to system → settings → addons → install from repository → podgod repo → video addons → pro sport → install

Check out our Pro Sport guide for more info.

Pro Sport is unique because it’s one of the few sports addons for Kodi that integrates Reddit.  On Reddit, people with access to premium sports TV channels create live streams and share their links on the day of the match.

To find Reddit boxing links on Pro Sport, all you have to do is open up Pro Sport and click the [my subreddits] folder.

Reddit users usually post links to boxing matches in a subreddit called “BoxingStreams.”  If you click [add a new subreddit] and type in BoxingStreams, you’ll be able to access those links from inside of Kodi.

SportsDevil has working ESPN2, Spike and BoxNation feeds

Installation steps:

  1. Download the SportsDevil zip file to your desktop.
  2. Then install it by going to system → settings → addons → install from zip file → desktop.

Check out our SportsDevil guide for more info.

After Pro Sports, SportsDevil is probably the best sports addons for Kodi.  Lots of links to TV channels that broadcast boxing can be found in its submenus.

Right now, the best place to go for TV feeds on SportsDevil seems to be its (World TV) menu.  To find the page, go to Live TV from SportsDevil’s main menu.

Currently, the best TV feeds section on SportsDevil is

Via live tv → (world tv) → UK Channels menu, I was able to find a working BoxNation feed.  The quality of the feed was a bit poor, but at least you can tune in here to watch live fights without paying for a ton of cable channels that you don’t want or need.

BoxNation is set to broadcast two big upcoming matches:

  • Saturday 26th November 2016:
Billy Joe Saunders vs. Artur Akavov (WBO Middleweight title)
  • Saturday 17th December 2016:
    Bernard Hopkins vs.  Joe Smith

For links to USA boxing matches, from the SportsDevil main menu go to live tv → (world tv) → USA Channels.  Most of the feeds on the USA Channels list didn’t work, but after clicking around a bit I was able to find working links to Spike TV and ESPN 2.

When Premier Boxing Champions returns to Spike and Espn2 in 2017, you can catch PBC matches via SportsDevil if you can’t find any working links on Pro Sports.

Watch 7 FilmOn boxing channels for free on Castaway

Installation guide:

  1. First, download the NatKo repository file to your desktop.
  2. Then install it by going to system → settings → addons → install from zip file → desktop.
  3. Finally, go to system → settings → addons → install from repository → natko1412 repo → video addons → castaway → install

FilmOn was founded by Greek billionaire Alki David back in 2006.  Despite controversy surrounding FilmOn’s brazen disregard for TV licensing agreements, it has become one of the world’s largest free TV streaming sites.

FilmOn broadcasts tons of free live sports channels, including 7 that are dedicated to boxing.  The only problem is that the official FilmOn TV Kodi addon doesn’t work anymore.  So, you have to visit the official FilmOn website to watch FilmOn’s content– that is, unless you have Castaway.

If you go to live TV → → sports from Castaway’s main menu, you’ll discover a motherlode of live boxing channels:

  • 1 on 1 Boxing TV
  • Armed Forces Boxing/US Army
  • FilmOn Boxing
  • Live Boxing
  • Inside the Ring
  • Pugilism TV
  • The Ring TV

These 7 boxing channels broadcast all kinds of live boxing games from around the world as well as classic boxing matches from years ago.

Phoenix’s One Events and Cosmic Sports menus sometimes have live boxing streams

Installation guide:

  1. First, download the repository zip file to your desktop.
  2. Then install it by going to system → settings → addons → install from zip file → desktop.
  3. Finally, go to system → settings → addons → install from repository → addon repository → video addons → phoenix → install

Check out our Phoenix Guide for more info.

If you’ve tried Pro Sport and SportsDevil and still can’t find links to the match you want, open up Phoenix and see what the One Events page has to offer.

To find the link to the One Events menu, open up Phoenix and then go to Phoenix Sports.  One Events is updated daily, so all the links that you find there will probably work.

Apparently, today is a big day for horse racing.

Another section of Phoenix that sometimes has links to boxing games is Cosmix Sports.  To find the Cosmix Sports menu, open up Phoenix Sports on Phoenix’s main page.

Check all four of the “Todays Events” servers under “Ace Stream Events” on match day and see if there is a link to the one you want to see.

MoneySports has HD recordings of recent boxing matches

Installation guide:

  1. First, download the MoneySports zip file to your desktop.
  2. Then install it by going to system → settings → addons → install from zip file → desktop.

Check out our MoneySports Guide for more info.

MoneySports doesn’t have any live TV links– but it does have a small archive of recent fights.  So, if you miss a big boxing match and want to watch a replay, the “Box Office Event Replays” section of MoneySports is worth a look.

You can find high def streams of the biggest recent UFC, WWE and boxing matches posted in the archive.

For classic boxing YouTube videos, get KO Boxing

Installation guide:

  1.  First download the KO Boxing zip file to your desktop.
  2.  Then, go to system → settings → addons → install from zip file.

KO Boxing is the only boxing specific Kodi addon I could find.  Because KO Boxing relies on YouTube for content, the main feature it brings to the table is its menu system.

KO Boxing’s main menu divides its content into 8 categories:

  • Classic Boxing Matches
  • Classic Boxing Matches 2
  • Full Boxing Matches
  • Full Boxing Matches 2
  • HBO Boxing Greatest Hits
  • HBO Boxing Highlights
  • IFL TV
  • UK Fights

The developer probably split “Classic Boxing Matches” and “Full Boxing Matches” into two parts to make the menus load faster.  Unfortunately, there is no search bar and you can’t browse matches by fighter.

You won’t find any recent games or live feeds on KO Boxing.  But if all you want to do is watch a few YouTube videos of famous boxing matches, it’s worth installing.

Having a issue getting access to the KO Boxing plugin or any plugins on the top tutorials repo in Kodi 17.1. I only see links to build, international and repo, there is no link for addons like there is in Kodi 16. I’ve tried everything that I know. Any suggestions from you pros that my allow me to download KO Boxing.
