Getting in on VPNS

Virtual private networks (VPNs) are the go-to anonymizer for streaming live TV through Kodi. Not only do they allow you to get around censorship filters, they also prevent website throttling, and ensure that what you watch through Kodi is kept private. Additionally, if you reside outside the US, certain addons (including this one) may be blocked by your ISP. We suggest IPVanish for your anonymous web-browsing needs.

Benefits and Limitations of iLiVE

iLiVE benefits users by having dozens of different streaming options. This includes popular network stations and cable stations. You’ll find some of the most popular American stations streaming on here (HGTV, TBS, TNT, Discovery, History), and the most popular UK stations (Sky, BBC). What you won’t find are American movie channels. Similarly, the American cable station line-up is extremely limited. There is a noticeable lack of stations that some might consider essential, such as SyFy and Comedy Central.

iLiVE is also poorly organized. While the categories are fairly accurate, some of the categories exist on the list, but have nothing in them. Whether the add-on developers intend on populating these lists later down the road is unknown. Similarly, the “General” category is very non-specific, and appears to just be a collection of networks and streaming options that the developers were sure where else to locate.

Nevertheless, iLiVE’s streaming options are solid, even if there is something left to be desired. The fact that it is extremely easy to install and works well is one of the primary reasons you may choose this option over others, or choose to add this option alongside some of the other popular IPTV add-ons. If the developers make the categories more efficiently organized and add in more streaming options, iLiVE will easily best some of the more popular options available for Kodi.
