HD Box: Benefits and Limitations
As stated, HD Box completely lives up to its name. You’ll find a wide variety of films within this addon, especially new films. You’ll find several categories for searching for films. This addon has a section for “popular movies”, “recent movies”, “most watched”, and “year”. Additionally, you can search for the specific movies you want, or look by genre. There are 22 separate genres, all of which are the most commonly found. There are no surprises here. You’ll find action, horror, musical, etc. The only somewhat-unique category may be the one for sports films. The layout is clean and easy to navigate. Although films in each genre are note organized alphabetically, the genres and categories are different enough to prevent users from having to shuffle through long lists of wholly unorganized films. Also positively, each film indicates the optimal aspect ratio as well as the film’s pixel resolution. We found many films to be 720p.
Perhaps the biggest limitation with this device is that the number of films is very limited. Because HD Box focuses solely on HD films, this also means that the addon only lists a limited number of films. The film years only go back to 1997. Those looking for classic films or older films will simply need to look elsewhere. However, given that this addon focuses on HD films, it’s unlikely that this limitation will be too bid of a disappointment.
