There’s little better than kicking back with Kodi and sports. But finding the right Kodi add-on for all of your super-sports-fan needs can be a headache. Furthermore, just trying out any old add-on can be an exercise in futility. We’ve all had our fair share of Kodi add-ons that don’t really do what they claim they are designed to do. In this article, we’ll show you how to install the SportsDevil addon for Kodi from start to finish.
One question you’ll have is whether SportsDevil is one of those. Here’s what we can tell you, with definite certainty: SportsDevil is one of the most popular sports add-ons you’ll find. Whether popularity makes for usability is a different matter, however. SportsDevil provides access to an almost ridiculous amount of live sports streams, which we’ll get into in more detail a little later.
First, we’ll hand you over to the installation guide. Thankfully, SportsDevil is one of the many easy-to-install add-ons that come under Kodi’s add-on repository (accessed via Videos>Addons>Get More section). Follow the simple installation guide below to install SportsDevil on Kodi. Our description will make much more sense if you have it open in front of you as well.
We highly recommend using a VPN while streaming through Kodi. Kodi users have been known to receive copyright infringement notices for streaming movies, sports, and TV shows through various addons. If you would like to keep your streaming habits private, our recommendation is IPVanish – a complete privacy solution for Kodi users.

A Word on VPNs
We know you’ve had the benefits of Virtual Private Networks preached to you already. However, having your connection encrypted is extremely important if you want to keep what you stream on Kodi private. The encryption provided by a virtual private network has several benefits, including the ability to spoof your virtual location. This is especially important for users in places like the UK, where SportsDevil is most likely blocked on a national level. We suggest IPVanish as our go-to solution for enhancing the Kodi experience. Its award-winning services are a favorite among Kodi users for a reason. It just works.
Sports Devil: Benefits and Limitations
There’s only so much one can say about Sports Devil. What is does is provide you access to several streaming websites and links. As such, SportsDevil is not so much it’s on streaming add-on as it is a streaming options aggregator. This is also where the biggest problems with SportsDevil occur.
You’ll find a very wide range of streaming options on Kodi. However, most of the streaming categories do nothing more than just connect you to the same channels. For example, searching under the “Sports TV” section gives you around 10 links to different streaming sites. Each one contains the same channels: A smorgasbord of Sky Sports, BT Sports, and a load of other channels from American to South American to European. While the channel offerings are indeed impressive, that the add-on simply provides multiple avenues to the same content is a bit disappointing.
The biggest limitation for SportsDevil is with functionality. Far too often, it just…doesn’t work. There are several reasons for this, but many users will often run into a dreaded “No Stream Available” message. And no, simply switching to a different streaming option does not always fix the problem. One reason for this has been noted as the links actually changing on the back end, making the internal links within the add-on nonfunctioning. This often happens when the Sports Devil developers update the application. Unfortunately, this cannot always be fixed.
SportsDevil is a solid add-on–when you can get it to work. If it’s not working, you could certainly troubleshoot it. However, the options it provides are also available on different live TV streaming add-ons such as GoodFellas or iLiVE StreamLive. If SportsDevil goes down for you, you might be better off just switching to a different add-on.
